Finger Lickin' Good

Cakespy's Flickr photostream makes me happy... and crave for morsels of sweetness. She has a yummy blog, too -- a welcoming distraction from left-brain overactivity.

All this studying makes me hungry!

Thank You, My Shtub!

My Shtub Giveaway

I entered multiple giveaways in July and I tell ya, it feels great to win this one. I won a fabric scrap giveaway at My Shtub. Apparently, the people who initially won didn't respond and luckily, my response was selected as part of the second batch that ended up winning. In turn, I got great paper and cute fabric -- whoooopeeeeee!!

Pugly's Rigorous Facelift

Decor8.com

Have any of you seen Decor8's new look? It's stunning. It's absolutely beautiful. If you haven't seen it, you must go there right away. My jaw dropped when I visited last Monday to see the winners of Decor8's Inspire Me Giveaway. No, sadly, I didn't win. But, I was totally blown away by Decor8's new look. I loved everything about it from the highlights of the soft pastels to the contrast of the light linen background. I especially like the pastel tabs below the blog masthead. Oh, and how about the yellow pad background for the dual columns on the right? A fine touch, indeed.

Messy Kitchen

Decor8 was the inspiration behind PuglyFeet's masthead facelift. Though the technical changes didn't come easy, it was well worth skipping clean dishes and a tidy household for several days. And yes, it was even worth all the tears I shed in frustration on Saturday at 1 AM. CSS can get really complicated!

Messy Bedroom

Phew! Now that I'm done, I have to give a big sigh of relief. I'm happy with PuglyFeet's new look and I hope it's a visual improvement for you, as well. Oh! I added a new feature: PuglyFeet's Weekly Shoe, which you can see on the top right side of any page. Additionally, it will be easier to distinguish Daily Mug from The Blog with the color-coded mastheads -- yellow for Daily Mug and pink for The Blog.

I tried to view PuglyFeet's blog improvements from a variety of browsers and OS platforms. Short of the comments page, all pages are XHTML compliant (reCaptcha does not produce XHTML- compliant markup). If there are pages that you think look strange from your browser, please let me know by sending me a comment or by using this contact form.

Magic Jelly & the Paper Chase Project

Magic Jelly Paper Submission

I recently jumped on The Paper Chase bandwagon and sent artist extraordinaire, Magic Jelly, some paper in exchange for a collage. So, I spent a great deal of last week compiling a collection of gift wrap, brown paper, origami paper, old greeting cards, maps, accounting ledgers, receipts and Muni stubs. I bid them a fond fair well and they're finally en route to Australia!

Magic Jelly Paper Submission

The Paper Chase is an ongoing project, so if you have paper you'd like to contribute, get on the bandwagon and send her your paper!

Sole Voice, Sole Struck

SoleVoice

It's been a few weeks since my first PuglyFeet review. With the passing of finals and the beginning of Summer, the review seems as though it happened so long ago. I have to admit that I've kind of forgotten about it. Well, I logged on to Youtube for the first time in a long while and I was happy to see my first (and only) subscriber: SoleVoiceShoes. How cool is that!

SoleVoice

So I checked out SoleVoiceShoes' YouTube profile and was impressed by the breadth and depth of topics in their Shoe Vlogs. Well, SoleVoiceShoes is a supplement to SoleVoice, a blog all about shoes, shoe trends and tips. The blog is managed by Katie, while the videos are hosted by Danielle (she's smooth and a pleasure to watch!). These girls are passionate about shoes -- they really know shoes. Do you want to learn about the latest Summer trends? How about measuring your boot's shaft height? Well, Katie and Danielle have answers to these questions and more.

And you know what? There's an online store, too: SoleStruck.com. So far, it looks pretty cool. They stock Dansko, Camper, Clarks and Birkenstock. Combine that with FREE shipping, a one year return policy and 24x7 live customer reps (800 number!) to take orders and answer questions -- sounds like prime customer service to me.

Thanks for subscribing to my YouTube channel, SoleVoice. As for your sites, you can be I will visit often! =)
