My friend, Catherine, from The Renegade Bean, posted this video over the weekend. If you're an Alice in Wonderland fan, surely you'll enjoy this silent short film from 1903. I loved it!
Flippin' through the racks and racks of cds at library the other day, I felt nostalgic when I found this CD by Louis Prima. I used to work at a coffee house in Daly City. It was called Serra Coffee and it was the little town's first coffee house ever. During busy spells, the owner loved to play loud, jivin' music, which made the place even louder with happy chatter. He loved Louis Prima and he used to play this song over and over and over again. It soon became one of my favorites!
This version is the one I'm familiar with:

I've been eagerly anticipating Lula's arrival at my local Border's Books. I visit the book store religiously every week, and each time, I'm disappointed. The chances of it arriving are pretty slim at this point and I'm finally resigned to that.

Anyhow, I visited Lulamag.com the other day and they have links to some videos they've produced. One of them was about the fabulous artist, Mercedes Helnwein. I urge you to watch it. You can see the clip when you follow a link from Lulamag.com entitled Dark Star. Unfortunately, there are no direct links to this clip, so I'm leaving you with another clip called Faking It, directed by Mercedes Helnwein herself.
