Seven Things About Me

Red Apples

I was tagged by the lovely English Muse to list seven things about me. Here I go:

  1. My ears ring 24/7. I destroyed my hearing blasting Paul Revere with my first Walkman at 13.
  2. I'm a recovering cow, Urusei Yatsura, and Nightmare Before Christmas toy collector.
  3. I think Pride & Prejudice is the best all time chick lit and chick flick.
  4. I love thrift shopping, especially at the Salvation Army. Their Bric-a-Brac sales rock the house.
  5. For dinner every night (or rather -- late afternoon), I consume three servings of butter lettuce with balsamic vinegar and olive oil, topped with lots of crunchy tofu. It's been 5 years and I still look forward to it daily.
  6. Seriously, if I could be Made into anything, I'd be Made into a sick ass breakdance B-Girl.
  7. Alice quote: "Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be." I realized the truth in this recently. It was an Ouch moment.

TMI List Love

I'm participating in Abdpbt's List Love. I learned about it via Pauvre Plume. So here's my list. TMI: 25 things you don't need to know about me:

  1. When I was a kid, I was the neighborhood bully.
  2. Driving behind the wheel on the Bay Bridge freaks me out a LOT.
  3. My tomboy and girly girl personas duke it out daily while choosing clothes to wear in the mornings.
  4. In the 80's, I used to be a hairspray hair bear.
  5. At 14, I auditioned for Elite Modeling Agency. Tired of dumpster-diving, I bought the myth that models get clothes for free. Needless to say, nothing ever came out of that.
  6. I don't cook, but love to watch cooking shows.
  7. Cannot watch scary movies without detrimental mental side effects that could last for days.
  8. I enjoy cleaning my ears with Q-Tips. I do it for the eargasms.
  9. Gabriel Byrne is my favorite actor.
  10. Intelligent men really turn me on.
  11. I'm a happy dork with no social life.
  12. The word masturbate makes me laugh. Nasty jokes give me the giggles.
  13. I used to weigh 189 lbs.
  14. My eyes well up with tears every time I hear the Star Spangled Banner.
  15. I have a girl crush on Katy Perry.
  16. I also have a crush on Gavin Newsom.
  17. I had a massive crush on Edward Norton during my Fight Club obsession.
  18. Watched Top Gun 1000 times. My sisters and I used to rewind the blue tinted love scene again and again and again. We loved the wicked volley ball scene, too.
  19. I've had my fair share of *raving* back in the day.
  20. Cap'n Crunch was my initial inspiration for pursuing a CS degree. I met him at a rave.
  21. I've been pursuing my college degree for the last 15 years. Spring 2009 will be my last semester. Fucking finally. Though I have no regrets with CS, if I could do it all over again, I'd pursue art instead.
  22. I've read every self-help book.
  23. Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsh literally saved my life, though I'm not religious. I'm not Christian, nor Catholic, nor any other religious denomination.
  24. I'm a big Woody Allen and Larry David fan.
  25. This guy is totally living out my twelve year old fantasy: the lucky bastard
