Do you know what's strange about this purchase? I dislike guns. And, except for Jack Skellington, I hate skulls with a passion. But, so much for strange attractions. I visited these earrings like a million times at Pulp Sushi's Etsy shop before buying them. I'm glad I got them -- I love these earrings to death.
The gun earrings are called "Love Gun" and the skull earrings are called "Dia de Los Muertos" -- or Day of the Dead. Both are made by the lovely Marilyn at Pulp Sushi.

I love surfing through Decor8's archives, following links, like tangents to the left and to the right. In one of Decor8's Etsy Take Five Tuesday segments, she wrote about cute London-based Etsy boutique, What Katie Does, which sells prints and greeting cards based on the drawings of Katie herself, I guess. Take a look at the print above, entitled, My Shoes -- I want it!! Equally desirable are her bangin' platforms by Irregular Choice!
The British have it so bloody good with IC being so accessible. I'm ever so curious about IC and would really like to try on a pair at a brick and mortar store somewhere before venturing to order a pair online. But, as of now, online admiration will have to suffice.

I was mooping around moopshop.com (followed an ad link from Modish) and found the Moop Shop handmade bags to be ok, somewhat mediocre, considering how much they're selling it for. I realize they're expensive because they're handmade... but $76.00 for that bag -- I don't know. That's a lot of dough for a very plain bag.
Anyway, I find this picture noteworthy, not for the bag, per se, but for the outfit the model is wearing. Everything about her outfit is adorable from head to toe and the fall colors resonate with me. I especially dig the skirt, the footless tights and the shoes. Are those the Sienna Ballerinas

??? I wonder if they'd be able to take on She-Hulk.

I bought this houndstooth fedora from Walgreens a couple of months ago for $10. I love houndstooth and at just ten bucks, I found it hard to resist and bought it on a whim. It didn't occur to me at the time of purchase that it looked like a $10 hat! When I got home from Walgreens that day, I tried so hard to make it work but there was something weird about it when I tried it on. Perhaps it was the cut of the brim, I don't know. Well, the hat's been sitting on my hat rack since, nicely collecting dust. I haven't worn it -- until today.
I was going through my jewelry box this morning and as my fingers brushed aside the glass button brooches I made a couple of weeks ago, a thought occurred to me that they would look great on my houndstooth fedora. I'm glad I tried it because I'm pleased with the way the it looks. It's amazing what two small pieces of jewelry can do for a $10 hat!
