In Living Color ~ Golden Cricket

Golden Cricket

Last year, I was smitten with yellow. Not just any yellow, though, but a kind of deeper yellow, something like golden mustard. For some reason, I referred to this as saffron and have wondered if the color of saffron is really golden mustard or if I called it such simply because I like the word "saffron".

Saffron... This leads me to my saffron bag. I love the Mossimo bag that I bought from Target a couple of years ago, the last one on clearance, for a mere $9.00. It sure was nine bucks well spent. To my surprise, I learned that saffron (or mustard yellow) is a versatile color and needless to say, was able to wear that lovely bag with many clothes for different occasions.

So while choosing colors for our home office, I appealed to Doug for a color similar to that Target bag. We settled on Golden Cricket (Behr #370D-6) and this was a good thing -- the office looks warm and happy, the perfect color for the room where our ideas are born, unfold, take hold and grow.

Dressy Daisy

Dressy Daisy Satchel

See something special? Yes, yes, the prints from the Black Apple are special, but I'm not talking about those. No, no... I'm not talking about the inspiration box from Target, either and no, nor am I talking about my secret stash of Teen Vogue magazines. No, those are NOT special. If you haven't noticed the gorgeous bag on the lower left corner of the picture above, then you might need to get your eyes checked. That special bag is the one and the only, Dressy Daisy Satchel by the goddess genius of the Giant Dwarf.

It was love at first sight. Has anyone ever said to you, "It's soooo you!!", and you think, "God, no, I hope not!!" Well, as an authority of me, I was thinking this to myself when I saw Dressy Daisy on Flickr: "This bag is soooooo Pugly!" I mean, really now. Take a look at this blog's color scheme -- it's a perfect match. Dressy Daisy is so PuglyFeet. And so here it is, this lovely bag is mine ... it's fate. Spacious and comfortable to wear, it is now and forever more the official bag of PuglyFeet.

What Color Crayon Are You???

Got this fun QUIZ from Oh My Seven. I like it 'cuz it's like a really cool, kinda feel good fortune cookie. According to this quiz, the Yellow Crayon, is thoughtful, wise, charming AND manipulative. Just great.:

You Are a Yellow Crayon
Yellow

Your world is colored with happy, warm, fun colors. You have a thoughtful and wise way about you. Some people might even consider you a genius. Charming and eloquent, you are able to get people to do things your way. While you seem spontaneous and free wheeling, you are calculating to the extreme.

Your color wheel opposite is purple. You both are charismatic leaders, but purple people act like you have no depth.

I'm simply mad about this vintage poster by C. Camps and wouldn't you know, the color palette is comprised of the rainbow.

Lips Sweet Surprise

Lips Sweet Surprise

Whimsical heart balloons and a display of Valentine's Day cards beckoned to me as I approached Timeless Treasures on Sutter Street the other day. The selection of cards were quite good: not cheesy at all -- very simple yet very pretty. On that note, I present Colour Lover ~ Lips Sweet Surprise:
