OK, the vintage rose hat is certainly not wall decor, but it is from the same garage sale. And, since it's too small for me, I've turned it into room decor, or rather, a new lovely hat for the lamp. An improvement, no?

Amanda Atkins sent me a print from her shop -- the same print I used in my Colour Lover post from September 14. Your Secrets Felt Like Velvet graces over my craft table and I love it. Thank you, Amanda. :)

I am proud to say that my Uncle Audi took these gorgeous pictures of San Francisco. I feel like I'm looking at the City with fresh eyes and I'm charmed all over again.

I saw this card for 99 cents at Trader Joe's today and I immediately thought of the Glass Man and his many renditions of Renoir's The Luncheon of the Boating Party.

Another Michael Sowa print that I LOVE: Pig in Soup. Oh, and this one, too: Kohler's Pig. Surely, these will be part of my next art print purchase. Here's more info about the artist extraordinaire:
German artist Michael Sowa creates absurdist images that find a gentle balance between fine art and satire. Born and educated in Berlin, Sowa worked briefly as a teacher before answering his true calling as a painter. Extremely popular in his native country, Sowa is now gaining recognition in the United States for his fanciful paintings which feature endearing animals that spring to life with souls and emotions. He has also published several books, including “Sowa’s Ark: An Enchanted Bestiary,” a popular collection of 50 playful yet poignant images which was published in 1996.
