Dress Me Up in My Love: UO UK

I first saw this navy dress at Cait's blog, She's Got a Passion for Fashion. Cait was invited to the Urban Outfitters opening in Edinburgh in the UK and this dress was on her noteworthy list. I agree with Cait. It is a pretty dress.

But alas, I learned that not all UOs are created equal. Though available in the UK, this dress is nowhere to be found in the US rendition of the UO site. I know this because I actually scoured the dresses section at urbanoutfitters.com. That's too bad. Anyhow, I saw this saffron top and think it's tragically cute, too.

Reprodepot Books

I'm a long-time fan of Reprodepot. They have the best selection of vintage fabric reproductions and I wish I had a swatch of every piece of cloth in their inventory. But, I would be happy and satisfied to own these two textile pattern books published by the wonders at Chronicle Books. Each book is filled with 225 textile patterns!

Well, these books will soon be mine. I bought them this morning after reading Lara's post. If you order by December 4th, you can get 35% off your order plus free shipping when you use this promo code: FRIENDS. It was a deal I couldn't resist. :)

SF Drive Thru: The Inner Sunset

I've been taking a lot of pictures of San Francisco from the passenger side of our car, en route to work, school, or some miscellaneous errand. These are not pictures of San Francisco landmarks -- just regular photos of daily, ordinary things, like these pictures of the Inner Sunset.

The Inner Sunset is a mixed residential/business district with many colorful homes in the gingerbread Victorian style. I've taken about a hundred pictures so far. And I noticed they were just collecting dust in a folder on my desktop. So I thought it would be fun to put them here as another weekly feature of five per week. I'll call it SF Drive Thru.

Knitted Moss Hair Bow

I finally did it. I jumped onto the hair bow bandwagon and bought this knitted moss hair bow from Red Velvet Art. I love the color of the soft chartreuse yarn, and the size is just right for me. However, I did change the smooth alligator clip for one with teeth to secure it in place. This pretty bow comes in other colors, too: white, violet, yellow, and of course, classic red.
