Wardrobe Remix: 6/12/09
My friend took a "How Girly Are You?" quiz and she scored 100%! I took a similar quiz a couple of years ago and scored 28% girly. Yes, I grew up a tomboy. But despite this fact, I've always loved girlish things. I own a closet full of skirts and dresses that I hardly ever wear and I own a drawer full of headbands and fascinators that I do not dare wear in public, though I would sure love to.
I so admire women who can dress however they want, whenever they want. I so admire women like Aya from Strawberry Koi and Solanah from Vixen Vintage. It sounds like such a simple and easy thing to do -- to dress your heart's desire... but oh, I'm a complex person.
Anyway, I've decided to view my clothes as investments. If I don't use them, then there is no ROI -- or no Return of Investment. So the more I use each one, the greater the returns. And so, I've decided to wear everything I own, from my skirts to my dresses and even my hair accessories. I started today.
The top outfit is what I intended to wear out. Though it's not the most stylish, there is a skirt present. The picture below is what I actually looked like when I left the house. Though I ended up wearing my baseball cap, at least I wore the skirt -- and the brooch!

Both outfits are very cute. The first is definitely more girly, but I love the sportiness of the second. Taco is so freaking cute in that sweater.

I love that you're showing photos of the WHOLE YOU! As much as I've grown quite fond of your feet (not a foot fetish, I swear), seeing the whole outfit is inspiring.
So cute! I need to be better about that... I have SO MANY things that I never wear. One of these days I'm going to go through them and donate a crapload to Goodwill, and then ACTUALLY USE the things I keep.
And I still can't believe that I scored 100% on that quiz. So weird. And not me at all. :)
