The View from Here
This is the view from my home office -- my own private Idaho, perhaps my favorite part of the house. I love the light and my beaming Bougainvillea. This little corner is my sanctuary from the digital world, where I read, meditate, daydream, and take naps (all in that order).
I'm going to send this photo to Jordan Clarke from The Art of Jordan as my submission for her The View From Here photo call. She is accepting view-from-your-window photographs to feature on her blog. Sounds fun, eh? If this interests you, check out her beautiful blog for details.
P.S.
I'm aware that this photo is blurry. I have yet to tame the wild beast that is my Nikon D40.
7/4/09 ETA:
My photo made the first installation of The Art of Jordan's The View From Here series.

I love the red in this picture!! I want to sit and just stare out your window.
Hehehe, I'm thinking about getting a Nikon D40, you'll have to let me know how you like it.
oh, i love bougainvilleas. we had them all over the house in Brazil, and they flourish more or less all year round. but they don't seem to like the cold weather here very much. you're lucky!
the picture doesn't look blurry to me. it's like you focused on the flowers, not the furniture, and that's perfect. :)
