Another Michael Sowa print that I LOVE: Pig in Soup. Oh, and this one, too: Kohler's Pig. Surely, these will be part of my next art print purchase. Here's more info about the artist extraordinaire:
German artist Michael Sowa creates absurdist images that find a gentle balance between fine art and satire. Born and educated in Berlin, Sowa worked briefly as a teacher before answering his true calling as a painter. Extremely popular in his native country, Sowa is now gaining recognition in the United States for his fanciful paintings which feature endearing animals that spring to life with souls and emotions. He has also published several books, including “Sowa’s Ark: An Enchanted Bestiary,” a popular collection of 50 playful yet poignant images which was published in 1996.

My favorite outfits lately all involve my $12.00 skinny jeans by Younique. I bought this amazingly comfortable pair of jeans from Marshalls and it's been hard to get me out of them. I've been wearing them with lots of dresses and my favorites are the ones from Target, both by Xhiliration, from the Juniors Department.

Lipstick Queen sent me a couple more shades from her Big Bang Theory line in Energy (shimmery red) and Space (shimmery grey pink). I know I sound like a Super Fan, but in truth, these glosses feel silky smooth and the colors are just beautiful.
Lipstick Queen's Big Bang Theory is available for $20 each at all Barneys New York stores and Bloomingdales. You can also purchase any Lipstick Queen product directly from her website at LipstickQueen.com.
Thank you, Lipstick Queen -- I adore these. :)

I bought some used DVDs from Green Apple Books on Clement St. yesterday. I've actually seen Ghost World and Manhattan and love both to death. I heard Chasing Amy is really good from many people and I look forward to watching it. I can't wait for the weekend. :)

I was tagged by the lovely English Muse to list seven things about me. Here I go:
-
My ears ring 24/7. I destroyed my hearing
blasting Paul Revere with my first Walkman at 13.
-
I'm a recovering cow, Urusei Yatsura, and Nightmare Before Christmas toy
collector.
-
I think Pride & Prejudice is the best all time chick lit and chick flick.
-
I love thrift shopping, especially at the Salvation Army. Their Bric-a-Brac
sales rock the house.
-
For dinner every night (or rather -- late afternoon), I consume three servings of butter lettuce with balsamic
vinegar and olive oil, topped with lots of crunchy tofu. It's been 5 years
and I still look forward to it daily.
-
Seriously, if I could be Made into anything, I'd be Made into a sick ass breakdance B-Girl.
-
Alice quote: "Nothing would be what it is,
because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it
wouldn't be." I realized the truth in this recently. It was an Ouch moment.
