Once in a Blue Moon
It's 11 pm, Friday. It's been over a dozen hours since my final ended, and yet, as I type this, part of me can't believe that school is out for the semester. Don't get me wrong -- I'm happy and relieved that my final is behind me. For most semesters, I'm the first one out the door with thoughts like, "See ya... whenever... or never!". Not this time. A sadness lingers with the ending of this particular semester, an unusual feeling for me, really, one that only surfaces once in a blue moon.
Thank you Ezekiel, Mayra, and especially Ilkka. Seriously, I never imagined that learning physics could be so fun.

I remember that feeling so well, from certain semesters: my last at community college before transferring to university, and my last of my undergrad years.
Grad school, though? I think I was the first one out the door before the semester even started!
Congrats on the end of the semester. I know that bittersweet feeling...and I kind of miss it.
Thanks for sharing =) -- I'm relieved that I'm not alone wrt these feelings.
Hope you have fun with your time off. :)
I really like that picture of you.
Aww... Pugly hard at work. :) Are you DONE-done? or just done for this semester? (reminiscent of "Wonder Years": "Does he LIKE me-like me, or just like me?" :)
In any case, congratulations again. My students turn in their final papers tomorrow. Many of hours of grading will ensue. Don't be too jealous.
:)
Also, is that red/white striped piece of awesomeness in your photo a curtain? I'm really liking it. I'm also liking whatever that top is you're wearing. Maybe you should start a "Pugly Torso" blog too?
:)
Thanks, Seven. You bet I'm going to make the most of my 4 week break. :)
Words & Eggs: Thank you. I'm done for the semester (1 more semester to go!). Those curtains are country curtains from PB. And, I might consider Pugly Torso post graduation and a better paying job. ;)
