Ash Virgin Hi Tops

Ash Virgin Hi Tops

I've been a fan of Converse Chuck Taylor Hi Tops for the longest time and if only my feet weren't so wide, I'd own a red pair and black pair no doubt.

Ash Virgin Hi Tops

Now, these Ash Virgin Hi Tops from Urban Outfitters are evidently inspired by the classic Chuck Taylors, except perhaps made of leather and at thrice the price. If only my feet weren't so wide and if only it were half the price, I'd be very tempted, no doubt.

Happy Camper

Camper Twins 20740

Sigh... the designers at Camper are creative folks. The Spring styles are finally out and though I'm generally not crazy about unadorned flat heels, I adore these Twins (#20740) -- they are quirky, unique and ever so charming.

Goodbye 19th Avenue

19th Ave.

Anyone living in San Francisco can tell you that despite the "avenue" in 19th Avenue, 19th Avenue isn't in fact an avenue. Perhaps it once was -- a very very long time ago -- but today, it's a busy bustling freeway. Our 19th Avenue apartment overlooked this beast that never slept.

19th Ave.

As some of you know, we found a beautiful rental home outside of San Francisco and after a week of moving our belongings incrementally, we're pleased and ever so relieved that we're finally done.

19th Ave.

Though we have many fond memories of our 19th Avenue apartment, we will certainly not miss annoying motor cycle screeches nor the nightmare inducing drag racers in the middle of the night. We won't miss parking all the way on 25th Avenue on wet rainy days and nor will we miss our young, party hearty and obnoxious City College neighbors in the apartment directly below us.

19th Ave.

I'll tell you what, though... I will miss our far reaching views of Daly City, Fort Funston, and the Pacific Ocean.

19th Ave.

I will miss the convenience of Muni and the proximity to SFSU, Stonestown Galleria and the gym. I will miss the Banh Wich Vietnamese restaurant on Taraval.

19th Ave.

I will miss my sweet Aunt Marianne who lives a mere hop skip and a jump away on 20th Avenue.

19th Ave.

Most of all, I will miss our weekly walks around Golden Gate Heights, Forest Hills and West Portal. Oh dear... why are goodbyes ever so complicated? Goodbye, 19th Avenue.
