Are You Having Trouble Sleeping?

Modern Programming Languages

I f so, I have the perfect solution to your problem. Go and get a copy of Modern Programming Languages: A Practical Introduction by Adam Brooks Weber. Leave it at your bed side at all times. When you find yourself restless and unable to sleep, grab The Book and turn to Chapter 19 and read. I guarantee that you'll be asleep in no time!

Note:
To the author's credit, Modern Programming Languages is well written. To my brain's folly, it sometimes resists learning by passing out.

Sounds about equal to much of the reading I did while in library school! Except a lot of that wasn't even well-written. Zzzzzzzzzz...

Ha ha! Seriously, this made me laugh, because it's exactly what happens to me when I try to read my programming books. Martin Fowler's _Refactoring_ is great... or would be, if I could read more than two pages at a time before conking out. So far I've gotten through 3 chapters of Practical C++ Programming (required for a class), but I need to read 13 more just for Unit 1. At the pace I'm going, I might not finish the course in the 6-month time limit!
