The Elixer of Life

I'm a big fan of Bravo's reality show, Workout!. In one of the episodes during the last season, Jackie Warner shared the recipe to her *addicting* power shakes. Boy are they! Here's her original recipe for 1 serving (8 oz approximately):
- 2 cups of organic mixed berries
- 1 scoop of mega green powder
- 1 serving of whey protein powder
- 1 tbsp of flaxseed oil
- 1 tbsp of liquid amino acids
- 1 cup of ice
I altered her recipe by adding a banana and half a cup of Very Green juice to accommodate my sweet tooth:
- 2 cups of organic mixed berries
- 1 scoop of mega green powder
- 1 serving of soy protein powder
- 1 tbsp of flaxseed oil
- 1 tbsp of folic acid
- 1/2 cup of Very Green juice
- 1 banana
Everything short of the folic acid can be found at your local Trader Joe's. It's extremely delicious and good for you, so much so that I've dubbed it "The Elixer of Life" and it has become a staple in my household. I look forward to it every morning -- yummy. Another 10 hours to go.
