Bob-ify
I wisely ignored my impulse to cut my hair myself and scheduled an appointment with a hair dresser on Saturday to turn my hair into shapely graduated bob. I hope it turns out just like this (fingers crossed).

Teen Vogue (I know, I know... TEEN Vogue!?!?) has this amazing segment on mastering the tomboy mix and it opens with this adorable Smarty Pants photo. Everything about this look rocks, especially the dandy pants from H&M and the argyle socks. Most of all, I love the green sleek oxfords, Ports 1961 by Tia Cibani Shoes. I'm completely smitten.

I occassionally visit Style.com for a dose of fashion inspiration. My favorite designers are usually Anna Sui and Marc Jacobs. Not so this time -- both collections from Sui and Jacobs are unwearable, tacky, and unattractive. This season, I've got my eye on Chloé. Though way out of my league, these are my favorites from Chloé's Fall 2008 Ready-to-Wear Collection.

I bought this houndstooth fedora from Walgreens a couple of months ago for $10. I love houndstooth and at just ten bucks, I found it hard to resist and bought it on a whim. It didn't occur to me at the time of purchase that it looked like a $10 hat! When I got home from Walgreens that day, I tried so hard to make it work but there was something weird about it when I tried it on. Perhaps it was the cut of the brim, I don't know. Well, the hat's been sitting on my hat rack since, nicely collecting dust. I haven't worn it -- until today.
I was going through my jewelry box this morning and as my fingers brushed aside the glass button brooches I made a couple of weeks ago, a thought occurred to me that they would look great on my houndstooth fedora. I'm glad I tried it because I'm pleased with the way the it looks. It's amazing what two small pieces of jewelry can do for a $10 hat!
The winner gets a whole pack of prizes, but quite frankly, I only care about the $200 gift certificate to John Fluevog Shoes. Read the rules here. Enter the contest here.

I've seen this meme in blogs all around and I, too, have been tagged. Thanks, Mary!
